Team Boat Racing

In this exciting team building event, your teams will be challenged to take to the water in a “winner take all” boat race.

• But here’s the catch: your teams must actually build their boat (or raft) first from a variety of supplies and following team-based construction criteria to enter their boats in the race.

Depending on your preferences, your boats can be made from cardboard as a base boat hull material, or fun blue barrels that your teams will have to creatively assemble with a variety of materials to form funky-looking rafts capable of a dash across open water.

• Your teams will also have to organize their race strategy and team line-up of racers to beat their competitors.
• As an option, teams can also be tasked to develop and deliver a creative team presentation about the seaworthiness of their craft, and why they feel their team will dominate the race across open water.

InnerWork’s Team Boat Racing has been conducted in lakes, on beaches, and even in hotel resort pools.

• InnerWork senior trainers ensure safety protocols are followed by all racers too, with racers receiving a safety briefing and wearing personal flotation devices.

Team Boat Racing is an excellent activity when you want your teams outdoors in the glorious sun on warm days, and challenged to have FUN and get a little wet in the process!

• This team building option is often used as an interactive component of a team building retreat, corporate retreat, leadership retreat or leadership conference.
